MaxBreeze Solar Powered Roof Ventilation

The Solar Roof Ventilation Fan Without Equal

MaxBreeze solar powered roof fans are a smart and environmentally sensible solution to help protect your home, your roof, and even save you money by helping cool your home in summer.

MaxBreeze fans demonstrate the highest standards for quality and functionality. This includes the ability to choose a model with an in-built Lithium battery charged by the sun, so that the unit can operate on hot nights or cloudy days.

They are thermostatically controlled and will turn on automatically as the roof cavity heats up. The solar panel panel on the fan produces free electricity from the sun to drive a quiet brushless DC motor and fan to extract hot air and moisture from your roof space.

The function of a solar roof fan is to improve air circulation in the roof cavity, reducing heat and moisture build up to create a more energy efficient and healthier home. During summer months the MaxBreeze keeps your roof space cooler, resulting in a cooler home and reducing the load on air-conditioners.

Prevents Heat & Moisture Buildup in the Roof Cavity

The solar powered MaxBreeze works tirelessly on sunny days to remove heat and moisture from the roof cavity. This helps cools the home and prevent moisture buildup in the roof space.

Helps Reduce Air-Con Costs

On hot days your roof cavity can heat up to 65° and your ceilings can reach 35°. The MaxBreeze helps control this heat so your air-con does not have to work as hard to cool the home.

Thermostat Controlled

The smart MaxBreeze only turns on when the cavity temperature reaches 25°. This way it only works on days when you need it.

How does it Work?

Watch the video to learn about the MaxBreeze solar roof fan family.

The animation shows how the key parts of the quiet MaxBreeze – the solar panel, the thermostat, and brushless DC motor and fan– work together to quietly remove heat buildup in the roof cavity.

The video also shows how the MaxBreeze Zephyr day night and night model works. The Zephyr features a second solar panel with a built-in battery. The sun charges this battery during the day.

MAXBREEZE SOLAR ROOF VENTILATION VS WHIRLY-BIRD

MaxBreeze roof ventilation has numerous advantages over the old wind driven whirly-bird roof ventilators. Here are some of the main advantages:

Brand
Model MaxBreeze Whirly-Bird
Model MaxBreeze Whirly-Bird
Latest Technology The MaxBreeze uses new
technology to ventilate roof
cavities efficiently and consistently
throughout the year.
Whirly-birds are wind driven
and ventilate roof cavities
passively.
Works When the Wind isn’t Blowing On a stifling hot summer day
with no breeze, the MaxBreeze
will work quietly and efficiently to
extract the hot air from the roof
cavity helping cool your home.
On a hot day with no breeze, the whirly-bird
will not work, and your roof
cavity will heat up to 70° pumping heat onto your home.
Turns off Automatically
in Cold Weather
On a cold, windy, winter day
because of the the thermostat,
the MaxBreeze will not turn on,
keeping warm air inside your roof
cavity to help warm your home.
On these days, the whirlybird
will be whizzing around,
extracting the warm air from
the roof cavity, making your
home colder as you turn up
the heating.
Moves Air Efficiently MaxBreeze can move over 20
times more air than whirly-birds.
Very inefficient at moving large
mounts of air.

How Does MaxBreeze Solar Roof Ventilation Work?

The solar powered MaxBreeze solar roof ventilation fan is the smart, 21st century version of the old Whirly-Bird. The thermostat automatically controls the fan, turning it on as the roof cavity heats up.

  1. The sun beats down on your roof and heats up the enclosed roof space. On a hot day the roof cavity can heat up to 70°C. This build up of heat radiates into the living space.
  2. As the temperature in the roof cavity rises the thermostat automatically turns on the MaxBreeze. The solar panel on the Maxbreeze converts sunlight to electricity to power the fan.
  3. The MazBreeze quietly extracts the hot air from the roof cavity, lowering the cavity temperature.
  4. MaxBreeze is thermostatically controlled to turn on and off automatically.
